TCF Chairperson Sally Darke is pleased to announce current board member Andrew MacGregor has been reappointed for another three years, through to 31 December 2023.

“Having Andrew’s knowledge and experience on our board has been invaluable, he has brought insights into regional Tasmania which has benefitted our organisation and in turn our funding recipients and I am looking forward to working to continuing to work with him.” Ms Darke said.

“Andrew has been an active participant in community organisations on the East Coast of Tasmania for the past thirty-three years and his networks run deep in the region and beyond.”

Andrew said in his first 3 year term as a Board Member of the TCF has been very enjoyable as he has worked with the very dedicated, vibrant and committed TCF team who all want to see good outcomes for all of our Tasmanian communities.

“I have especially enjoyed learning more about our not-for-profit sector and getting a better understanding of all the tremendous work that they do for the disadvantaged. They are truly inspirational!

“The TCF has been going through a period of transition with a greater emphasis on the funding of longer term support programs and enhanced collaboration between the deliverers of those programs.

The impacts of Covid on our communities have shown that we are on the right track and I look forward to being a part of the on-going evolution of the TCF in response to the ever-changing needs of society,” he said.

Andrew is a Life Member of the Break O’Day Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Inc and is the current Chair of Break O’Day Community Financial Services Inc (t/a St Helens/St Marys Community Bank). Andrew was the founding Chair of the Break O’Day Business Enterprise Centre and is a past Chair of Medea Park Residential Care Inc., both positions having been held for approximately ten years.

Outside of his community activities Andrew has been self-employed as a Registered Land Surveyor, Certified Practicing Planner and Project Facilitator practicing throughout Tasmania from his base at St Helens. He has also been a Company Director for a number of private development companies and the Chair of a national retail chain.
